The standard GST (Sales Tax) rate in Pakistan is 17% on most goods and services under the Federal Excise Duty and Sales Tax Act. Some items carry higher rates (e.g., luxury goods, tobacco) and others are exempt or zero-rated (e.g., basic food items, medicines). Provincial sales taxes may apply to certain services. Use our GST Calculator above — select Pakistan to auto-fill 17% — to instantly calculate the tax and total for any price in PKR or any other currency.
Tax (exclusive): Total = Amount + (Amount × 17 ÷ 100) → e.g. Rs.10,000 → Tax = Rs.1,700 → Total = Rs.11,700
Exclusive (Add Tax): The price does NOT include tax yet. Tax = Price × Rate%. Total = Price + Tax. Inclusive (Remove Tax): The price already includes tax. Pre-tax price = Total ÷ (1 + Rate%). Our GST Calculator has both modes — click "Add Tax" or "Remove Tax" at the top of the GST panel.

Markup is the percentage added to the cost price to arrive at the selling price. Profit Margin is the profit as a percentage of the selling price. They use the same profit figure but different bases, so they give different percentages. A 50% markup equals a 33.3% margin.
To find the final price after a discount: multiply the original price by (1 − Discount% ÷ 100). To find the savings amount: multiply original price by Discount% ÷ 100. For stacked/double discounts, apply each discount sequentially — they don't simply add up.
Single: 20% off Rs.5,000 → Savings = Rs.1,000 → Final = Rs.4,000
Stacked: 20% then 10% off Rs.5,000 → After 20% = Rs.4,000 → After 10% = Rs.3,600
